Ms. Cantrell joins from State Street Global Advisors where she worked in the UK Sales team for two years. During Christine’s tenure, she was responsible for the distribution of investment strategies for the UK intermediary market. Prior to this, Ms. Cantrell worked for ETF Securities where she was a Director for UK and Ireland Sales, where she developed client relationships with Discretionary Fund Managers, private wealth managers and large asset managers across UK & Ireland.

As UK Sales Director of ETFs at BMO Global Asset Management, Ms. Cantrell will be responsible for targeting and developing relationships with new and existing retail and wholesale clients in the UK. Ms. Cantrell will be based in London and will report into Rob Thorpe, Head of UK Intermediary at BMO Global Asset Management.

BMO Global Asset Management launched its ETF range in Europe last year, building on its success as the fastest growing, and the second largest, provider of ETFs in Canada. Nine ETFs with an income generation focus, designed specifically for UK and European investors, were listed on the London Stock Exchange in November 2015. The equity suite of Income Leaders ETFs aims at delivering sustainable income, filtering companies for quality and dividend yield, thus reducing portfolio volatility. In the fixed income space, the global credit instruments aim at capturing yield in different maturity bands to enable precise portfolio positioning opportunities. Hedged instruments introduce additional protection from currency swings.

Rob Thorpe, Head of UK Intermediary at BMO Global Asset Management commented: “We are very proud of our track record of developing relevant, innovative and client-focused ETFs. Christine’s extensive ETF sales experience and understanding of investors’ requirements will be invaluable in supporting the ambitious growth plans we have for the business.”
