NYSE Euronext (NYX) announced the 2010 holiday calendar and early closing dates for its European markets. ….
NYSE Euronext’s European Cash and Derivatives markets will be open Monday to Friday throughout 2010 except on the following days:
– Friday 1 January 2010 (New Year’s Day)
– Friday 2 April 2010 (Good Friday)
– Monday 5 April 2010 (Easter Monday)
On Friday 24 December 2010 and Friday 31 December 2010, cash markets will close at 1.00 pm GMT (2.00 pm CET) whilst NYSE Liffe will commence the closing of its derivatives contracts from midday GMT (1.00 pm CET).
On these days, it is NYSE Liffe’s intention to align its trading hours with those of the relevant underlying cash markets.
On 3 May, 31 May, 30 August, 27 December and 28 December 2010, which are public holidays in the United Kingdom, it is anticipated that NYSE Liffe’s sterling-based products and UK-based commodity products will not be made available for trading, but other products will be available.
As some other markets have not yet published their trading schedules for next year, more detailed information on the trading of relevant NYSE Liffe derivatives contracts will be published in due course.
