Prior to joining Source, Jim was Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Russell Investments’ global ETF business from 2010. Before this, he was Chief Marketing Officer for Barclays Global Investors (BGI) and the iShares business, helping to drive its global expansion as a member of the senior management team from its launch in 2000. Jim worked closely with iShares founder Lee Kranefuss, who joined Source in 2014 as Executive Chairman.  Prior to BGI, Jim was the product manager of Fidelity Investments’ retail mutual fund supermarket.  He has eight years’ experience in management consulting with PwC and was also a captain in the US Air Force for five years, serving as an electrical engineer. His academic honours include a BSc in Electrical Engineering/Engineering and Public Policy and an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University as well as a Juris Doctor (Law) from Suffolk University Law School.

Lee Kranefuss, Executive Chairman of Source, commented: “We were delighted when Jim made the decision to join Source.  Jim is one of the leading pioneers in the ETF industry.  Having worked with Jim for many years, I know first-hand what he brings to a growing company.  He leverages a wealth of knowledge and experience while embracing each new opportunity with an innovative approach.  He also has a refreshing openness regarding investor communication, which I think bodes well not only for Source but for the ETF industry as a whole.”

Jim Polisson commented: “The ETF industry has seen remarkable growth over the last two decades but it still has much further to go. Innovation will be the key to securing a leading place in the industry and it would be difficult to find a team that has more strength and depth in order to achieve that goal.  Source has established its credentials as one of the most innovative and exciting providers of ETFs.”
